Quick note: I was supposed to send this newsletter last week, but I had vacation brain. I was spending time with family in Chicago and St. Louis for a week and (wrongly) assumed I’d remember to finish and schedule this issue on June 10th.
Apparently, I was too busy soaking in Chicago architecture and stuffing myself with deep dish pizza. No regrets!
The time away was necessary and this newsletter didn’t implode just because I missed a send date. (Although, if you were patiently waiting to hear from me on June 10th, I appreciate you being here and sticking around. I promise to stick to my regularly scheduled programming going forward!).

Today I’m getting real and raw: I’ve lost 3 clients this year due to budget cuts and layoffs. There’s no way to sugarcoat it. It’s all been out of my control, it all happened back to back, and it s-u-c-k-s.
