Introducing the Rough Draft Advice Column
I'm answering your questions about freelancing.

When I first had the idea for this newsletter, I knew I wanted to incorporate some sort of advice column.
There are a lot of resources on freelancing out there. But something that would’ve helped me over the years was a space that’s a little more personal. Something that feels like chatting with a friend who provides actionable tips.
Think of this advice column is a space for you to ask questions you can’t find the answers to on Google. Less “how do I pay quarterly taxes” and more “what can I do to get over the fear of posting online?”
I’ll be answering your questions each month — you can reply to this email or submit your question through the form below!
Without further ado…I’m kicking off the advice column with an interesting question I received about freelance fatigue.
Have your own question? Submit it through this form (can be anonymous!)
On dealing with freelance fatigue
Have you ever found yourself falling in a slump/feeling freelance fatigue? If so, how do you deal with it?
I've been a freelancer for a while now and sometimes the work becomes so repetitive (it feels like more of the same) it seems like the spark and excitement that I used to feel is gone. Constant context switching and periods of high/low work activity also contribute to the overall feeling of discouragement.
But the catch is - there's no safety net/paid time off even to take a break. I would really appreciate your thoughts on the matter.
